What's So California About California Design?

Tonight at LACMA Bill Stern, Executive Director of the Museum of California Design in Los Angeles, will be discussing the events that conspired to make California America’s cultural frontier. He will demonstrate how distinctively California’s circumstances combined to inspire an astonishing surge of design innovation. During his talk this evening, Stern will be wearing our Hockney and will discuss CLAE as a part of California’s continuing design originality. Stern served as consulting curator on the special exhibition "California Design, 1930-1965: Living in a Modern Way” at LACMA through June 3. What's So California About California Design?
